Robert Joseph Wilkin

Robert Joseph Wilkin, 67, of Indianapolis, passed away on November 19, 2021. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on March 19, 1954, to Robert and Mary Jane Wilkin.
He graduated from Proviso West High School.
Bob married Jill Annette Richards on June 20, 1998, at Gethsemane UMC in Muncie, Indiana.
He was employed at Essex Electro Company for over 35 years, where he worked in shipping and receiving.
Bob enjoyed bowling, playing cards, corn hole, bingo, playing trivia, and reading. He was also an avid Chicago White Sox and Chicago Bears fan. He enjoyed listening to Elvis Presley and inspirational music.
Family was very important to Bob and he enjoyed spending time with them, especially during the holidays.
Bob is survived by his wife, Jill; siblings, Richard (Linda) Wilkin, Donna (Jerry) Brown, Carol (Jerry) McConnell, Patricia Gibbs, Daniel (Cyndy) Wilkin; and many nephews, nieces, cousins, aunts, and in-laws.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mary Jane; and in-laws, Tony Gibbs, Lex Richards, Oreda Richards, and Jan Richards.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 3 at Indiana Funeral Care, Harry W Moore Chapel, with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Fr. Pat Click will be officiating the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Brookdale Hospice, in Bob’s memory.
