Robert H. Dewitt

Robert Harry DeWitt, 84, of Indianapolis, IN. passed away on Friday, January 1, 2021 at home. He was born on June 4, 1936 to the late Robert DeWitt and Evelyn Brush. He married Barbara (Rogers) DeWitt on September 21, 1957. She preceded him in death on August 14, 2010. On June 24, 2016 Bob was blessed to have found love for a second time when he married Christina (Robbins) DeWitt. Bob retired in 1998 from the City of Indianapolis as a Crew Leader with DPW. He was a member of Emerson Avenue Baptist Church. Bob is survived by his wife Christiana; his daughter Lori Chapman; granddaughter Hannah Chapman; brother David (Rosetta) DeWitt; niece Barbara (Duane) Beasley; nephew David (Tammy) DeWitt; great niece Holly Beasley (Sean Kissane); great nephew Joseph DeWitt (Austin); great-great niece Zoey; and 5 stepchildren, Melody, Sandra, Carolyn, John, Steve.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Irvington Presbyterian Church, 55 Johnson Avenue, Indiana 46219. Social distancing and facemasks will be required.
