Robert William Fox Jr., lovingly known as "Bobby" to his family and "Bob" to his friends, passed away on January 5, 2025, at the age of 69. Born on May 24, 1955, in Greenville, South Carolina, Bob lived a life full of generosity, passion, and friendship, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew him.

Bob spent his formative years in Bloomington, Indiana, before attending Indiana University, where he embraced life as a career student and football player. After nine vibrant years at IU, he graduated in 1983 with a degree in Business. His professional journey took him through sales roles at companies like Diebold and Thorpe Finance, among others, where he made lasting connections with colleagues and clients alike.

Bob's love story with his wife, Jinger, was one for the books. The couple shared a relationship spanning nearly four decades, including 18 years of marriage. Their paths crossed and reconnected in Nashville, TN, leading to a bond rooted in love and mutual admiration. Together, they cherished life's simple joys, including their beloved dachshund, Topaz, who held a special place in Bob's heart.

An avid boater and Commodore of the White River Yacht Club from 2021 to 2024, Bob found solace and camaraderie on the water. He was known for his love of Fountain boats and his sociable nature, often taking the longest time to walk up from the dock because he had to chat with everyone along the way. His favorite drink, Vice Tea, became a signature element of his warm gatherings.

Bob was also a devoted Colts fan, holding season tickets for over 20 years. His love for football was matched by his enthusiasm for World War II planes and firearms, interests that he eagerly shared with those around him. Ever the generous soul, Bob's mantra, "That's what herds do," encapsulated his willingness to help anyone in need. He never met a stranger and made everyone feel like a lifelong friend.

Bob's legacy is carried on by his loving wife, Jinger Fox; his brother, John Fox; and numerous cousins and friends who will forever remember his warmth, humor, and unwavering kindness.

Special thanks are extended to the friends at the White River Yacht Club for their support and friendship. Donations in Bob's memory can be made to the White River Yacht Club Foundation to honor his dedication to the community he loved.

A celebration of Bob's incredible life will be held on January 25, 2025, at the White River Yacht Club from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Please join us in raising a toast to a man who touched so many lives. Bob will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
