Robert Franklin Adams, 91, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2023 at his home. He was originally from Springfield, Ohio.
Robert was proud to serve on the USS Hamner DD-718 destroyer ship during the Korean War. He retired from Manpower Staffing after 30 years. Upon his retirement, he worked part-time for Marsh Supermarkets for 23 years.
After his service to the country, he married Miriam G. Boystel in 1955. Theirs was a marriage of 67 years and 8 months. He is survived by Miriam, his son Robert C. Adams, daughters Sharon Pinson (Jeff), Robin Stark (Gregg), Tina Hamed, and Kristin Adams; 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; and his sister Sonya Adams. He is preceded in death by his parents Robert and Olive Adams, sister Thelma Martin, and grandchildren Jacquelyn Adams and Jassem Hamed.
Visitation will be Friday, January 27, 2023 9:00 AM until 11 AM at Indiana Funeral Care, Harry C. Moore Chapel. Memorial service will begin at 11 AM with graveside military services to follow at Crown Hill Cemetery.
