In honoring Robbie's life, let us not dwell on sorrow but instead celebrate the profound impact she had on those fortunate enough to know her. We invite you to join us for her memorial service on Monday, June 10, 2024 at Indiana Funeral Care (8151 Allisonville Rd, Indianapolis, IN), where we will gather to honor her memory, share stories, and find comfort in each other's presence.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in Robbie's name to the Indianapolis Humane Society or the Alzheimer's Association, reflecting her compassion for animals and her dedication to supporting those affected by this challenging disease.

As we bid farewell to Robbie Geneva Upchurch, may her gentle spirit guide us, her love sustain us, and her memory inspire us to embrace each moment with gratitude and compassion. Though she may no longer walk beside us, her legacy of love will endure forever in our hearts.

We gather to remember and honor the remarkable life of Robbie Geneva Upchurch.  Robbie, aged 93, peacefully departed this world surrounded by family on June 7, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories.

Born on April 18, 1931, to Allie T. and Columbus Benton Smith, Robbie's journey began in Smith County, Tennessee.  She embarked on a beautiful journey of love when she married Robert Upchurch on June 26, 1948, in Rossville, Georgia.  Together they built a life filled with devotion, understanding, and unwavering support.

Robbie's professional journey led her to a fulfilling career at Zayre, where she dedicated her talents until her retirement in 1986. Yet, it was her passions outside of work that truly defined her essence. Robbie was a devout member of the Church of Christ, finding solace and strength in her faith throughout her life.

She found joy in life's simple pleasures-- savoring the beauty of nature, nurturing her garden, unraveling the pieces of jigsaw puzzles, and finding wisdom and comfort in the pages of her Bible. However, above all else, Robbie's heart overflowed with love for her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Nothing brought her greater happiness than sharing precious moments and stories with them, their laughter echoing throughout her home like music to her soul.

Robbie is reunited in eternity with her beloved husband, Robert Upchurch, her son Robert Donald (Don) Upchurch, her son-in-law Willard Klunder, and her daughter-in-law Frances Upchurch. While we mourn her physical absence, we find solace in knowing that she is at peace, surrounded by love once more.

Robbie's legacy lives on through her devoted children: Larry Upchurch (Rebecca Upchurch), Steve Upchurch, and Kathy Klunder. Her memory is cherished by her twelve grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren, who carry her spirit forward with each passing day.
