Riley "Paul" Couch

Paul was born on December 30, 1964. He was born and raised in Indianapolis, IN. He was the son of Riley and Shirley Couch. Paul was the baby boy out of 4 siblings (Bobby, Becky & Mike). 

In 2007 Paul married Grisel Ruiz-Couch. They were married for 17 years. Paul has 2 incredible Sons (Joey & Jacob Couch) which he adored and was extremely proud of. Those boys were quite literally the apple of his eyes. He gleamed when he spoke of them.  He also stepped up as an amazing stepfather to (Julian & Jesenia). He loved the family they built together. You would often hear him say, "I love our blended family." He loved traveling, seeing new places, and discovering new local restaurants to try out while on vacation. He was always ready for whatever new adventure his wife would plan for them.  

Paul was an extremely hard worker. His work ethic was second to none. He was a loyal employee of the City of Lawrence. His colleagues were like brothers. He treated everyone with high respect, and would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. 

Paul is survived by his wife Grisel Ruiz-Couch, his Sons Joey & Jacob Couch, his stepchildren Julian and Jesenia, his bonus grandson Eddie, his siblings Bobby (Amanda), Becky (Pete), and a host of Nephews and Nieces. He was preceded in death by both his parents Riley and Shirley  Couch. Paul will be missed beyond measure, and will never be forgotten.
