Richard Blessing of Noblesville, native of Kansas City, MO, was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He peacefully left this world on March 17, 2021 at the age of sixty six.
Richard is survived by the love of his life, Denise. He was a loving father to his four children Beth (Matt), Michael (Neda), Becky (Nick), and David (Lindsey); and a proud Papaw to his five grandchildren Izzy, Jesse, Zara, Luna, and Quinn.
Richard had a deep love of music whether it was seeing live concerts, playing music, sharing his extensive knowledge of The Beatles, or having extremely loud dance parties in the basement. His passion for music was eagerly welcomed and passed down through his children and grandchildren (who know more about The Beatles than most adults).
Richard loved the travel life. He enjoyed visiting new cities and exploring their downtown through good food and libation. As much as he loved walking the city streets, he equally enjoyed being in nature. An avid fisherman and a gardener of peppers, chilis, and tomatoes. Both of which brought him much peace and happiness.
Richard was also a sports fanatic, with his absolute favorite being basketball. He enjoyed playing, watching, and cheering on his family.
He loved his family dearly and was at his happiest traveling, seeing live music, and cooking and enjoying good food with his loved ones. He left too soon, is dearly missed, and will forever be remembered.
“And when the night is cloudy there is still a light that shines on me
Shinin’ until tomorrow, let it be”
-Paul McCartney, 1970
