Rhonda G. Pendleton, age 67, of Edinburgh, Indiana, peacefully passed away on November 1, 2024, in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Born on May 14, 1957, in Columbus, Indiana, Rhonda was the beloved daughter of James and Barbara Tays Routier. She graduated from Edinburgh Community High School in 1975 and devoted many years to the hospitality industry, working as a caterer, waitress, and bartender. Rhonda later transitioned into healthcare, where she served at Franklin Meadows for 23 years, dedicating herself to the well-being of others.
A talented craftsperson, Rhonda had a flair for creativity. She enjoyed crocheting, creating beautiful jewelry, scrapbooking, and quilting—all of which she often shared with family and friends. She was an enthusiastic party planner who brought her unique touch to numerous family celebrations, making them truly special.
Rhonda was proud of her family, and her two children survived her: her son, Adrian Pendleton (Paula) of Franklin, and her daughter, Arryn Pendleton Beatty (Franco) of Edinburgh. The arrival of her granddaughters—Madysen Beatty, Lauren Pendleton, Lillian Beatty-Woodruff, Graysen Beatty, and Olivia Pendleton—brought her immense joy. Rhonda cherished her role as a grandmother and filled her time with babysitting, camping, and attending sporting events, where she found great happiness.
In addition to her children, Rhonda is remembered as a loving older sister to Randy Routier (Cecelia) and Robbin Henderson (Donald) of Edinburgh. Her youngest sister, Regan Hoevener (Andrew), preceded her in death.
Rhonda's enduring bond with her "sister cousin," Dawn Stults Renner, and her love for her nieces and nephews will be fondly remembered as well.
To honor Rhonda’s wishes, a small family service will be held later. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
