In Loving Memory of Reza Asadi
Reza Asadi, born on December 30, 1952, passed away peacefully on October 24, 2024, at the age of 71. We are deeply saddened to announce the loss of a man who dedicated his life to family, community, and the pursuit of knowledge.
Originally from Iran, Reza came to America to build a future, attending the University of Louisville and earning a degree in civil engineering. He settled in Indiana, where he devoted over 30 years to serving as a civil engineer for the state. His commitment to his work, along with his warmth and humor, endeared him to many, and he formed friendships that spanned his long and impactful career.
Outside of his professional life, Reza found great joy in gardening. He was often surrounded by fruit trees, vegetables, and herbs, nurturing his garden with the same care he showed to others. Known for his cooking—especially his grilling—he generously shared this gift at gatherings, adding to the laughter and warmth of countless celebrations with family and friends.
A firm believer in the power of education, Reza valued lifelong learning and inspired those around him to strive for their best. Though our lives were sometimes separate, he always made sure I felt his support, especially when I needed it most. I will forever be grateful for his care and love.
Reza is survived by his son, Bardia Asadi, and by the many friends and family members who were fortunate to know him. A memorial service will be held at Heartland Church in Fishers, IN, on November 24th from 3:00 to 4:30 PM. Friends and family are invited to join us in honoring his life and celebrating his memory.
