Our beloved Reginald “Reggie” Leonard departed this world on August 22, 2022 and signed off on a well-lived life. He was born on November 5, 1950, to James and Irene Leaonard. As the youngest boy, he was admired and adored by everyone who knew him. His formative years were spent playing sports and spending time with friends. While attending Princeton High School, he excelled at Football and was an extraordinary Baseball player. His achievements in baseball led to Reggie being drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in 1970. He decided to pursue an education instead and accepted a full ride scholarship to Colorado State University to play Football. Reggie had an incredible work ethic and retired from Henderson Webb, where he was the Maintenance Supervisor for 20 years. He loved bonding time with his family, vacationing in Florida and going to the Indianapolis 500. He enjoyed Rock music and was faithful to his cherished Cincinnati Bengals and Baltimore Ravens.
Reggie’s antics were legendary and those who knew him have their own stories to tell. No one was immune to his pranks! His son, Adam, inherited his zestful nature and often surprised Reggie with pop up visits that made his day! He relished his role as father and a grandfather to his granddaughter, Tyler. He was a phenomenal storyteller and shared the most captivating and hilarious tales! Reggie was charismatic and generous to say the least. He was a loyal and supportive father and brother and a remarkable Uncle and grandfather. We will forever hold his big heart and compassionate nature close within us.
Reggie is proceeded in death by his parents, his siblings, Corrine Moore and Charles McFadden, and his niece, Ebony Rhodes. Left with decades of fond and colorful memories are his son, Adam Smith, his granddaughter, Tyler Smith, his brothers Lawrence (Kathleen) Garmon and James Leonard, Jr., his sister, Jacqueline Stollings, his nieces/nephews, Nicole (Jessica) Garmon, Nadia Garmon, Monica Soto, Cheresa Garmon, Brandi (Steve) Williams, Bobby Gonya, Gary (Mira) Lam, Vanessa Blue, Lawrence (Nina) Garmon, Jr., Deborah Williams, Tanisha Stollings-Luke, Samantha Stollings, Aaron Leonard, and Robbie Stollings. A host of other family and friends will miss him dearly.
