Rasheedah Taheera Green

Rasheedah Taheera Green, also known as “Sheedah”, was born January 5, 1988 to Shahidah Taheera Shabazz and, the late, Michael L. Helm Sr. in Indianapolis, IN. 

In 2006, Rasheedah graduated from Howard Grove High School where she was known as a phenomenal track star, holding two state championships during that time. Rasheedah’s secondary schooling was completed at the University of Milwaukee where she received her bachelors degree in Kinesiology and was a member of Zeta Phi Beta in 2011.

Although being raised in Wisconsin, Rasheedah made her way back to Indiana, where she eventually began studying the Bible with Jehovah’s Witnesses.  After a long search, and zeal to draw close to God, Rasheedah dedicated her life to Jehovah on May 11, 2013. Being zealous, Rasheedah wanted to do all she could to show her love for Jehovah and people. Being fluent in Spanish, in 2016, Rasheedah joined the Raceway Spanish Congregation. Until her untimely death, Rasheedah was a regular pioneer and actively practiced her faith at the Glendale Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. 

Rasheedah was employed at J. P. Morgan Chase starting as a bank teller but soon transitioned to the Customer Experience Team, where she was promoted to supervisor . Most recent, Rasheedah joined the ATM Claims and Resolution Service team as a Business Analyst and Head trainer.

In 2016, Rasheedah met the love of her life, Dalen A. Green. For Dalen, it was love at first sight. Being patient but determined, Dalen and Rasheedah eventually married on March 13, 2021.

Rasheedah loved every moment with her husband, family and friends. She deeply cherished family/sister days as well as her one-on-one time with friends. Sheedah and Dalen enjoyed traveling and attending music festivals together. Rasheedah also enjoyed preaching. Rasheedah was so excited when Dalen had the privilege of joining her in Metropolitan Witnessing as this allowed them to enjoy special metro shifts and pioneering together.

What were Rasheedah’s personality traits and characteristics? We could all agree that she was a social butterfly. Sheedah never met a stranger and could pick up friends anywhere. She was a leader, intelligent, ambitious, affectionate, vibrant, loving, generous, self-sacrificing, inquisitive and humble. Rasheedah’s famous words were “Google Me”.

Rasheedah leaves in her cherished memory, her amazing husband Dalen A. Green and their son (their dog) Ice A. Green. 

Her mother Shahidah Shabazz (Virgil Harris), in laws, Jennifer and Darrell Green, siblings: Michael L. Helm Jr., Kenya K. Swedish Helm, Marika L. Helm, Alyssa R. Helm, Khalilah Palmer (Kenneth), Norman Green, Bayyinah Lawson, Jamal Muhummad (Christina), Islam Shabazz( Jeri), Virginia Harris, Virgil Harris, Travis Lowery, and Eram Cooper( Erin). As well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Rasheedah was preceded in death by her father Michael L Helm Sr. and one brother Johnny Green.
