Quintina Rose (Kelley) Teipen, 71, of Greenwood, Indiana passed away Sunday, August 1, 2021 at her home.
She was born Thursday, July 13, 1950 to the late Clifford and Roberta (Enoch) Kelley in Bedford, Indiana.
Quintina was raised Christian attending many churches over the years. She also experienced many religions such as Jewish and Nazarene faith going with her aunts to different locations. Her focus in life was God and Jesus, her children and grandchildren, her art, and her love of running. She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and they could do no wrong in her eyes. At a young age Quintina discovered her love for art. She was commissioned to paint the Apostles for Soaring Cards in Waseca, Minnesota and took great pride in her work. Over the years she had several in home licensed day cares and loved each of those children as if they were her own. Quintina and Joe later opened a licensed day care on the northeast side of Indianapolis for years until she became ill and had to close the doors in the early 2000’s. Before her illness she loved to run and would often be found at Eagle Creek Park with their dog running. It gave her peace and solitude.
Quintina is survived by her husband Joseph S. “Joe” Teipen; daughter, Trishauna Shields and her children Alex (Hugren) Hubina, Elizabeth Stewart, Zach Teipen, Jacob Robinson, Arabella Pfeiffer. Jen Weedling and her husband Paul and their children, Paul Weedling and his wife Anna, Joe Weedling, Zeke Weedling, Samaria Weedling; daughter, Kimberly and her husband Keith Toloday and their children, Maddison Abrams and her husband Brandon, Mikaela Toloday, Kaiden Toloday and his wife Lydia, Kennedi Toloday; daughter, Jo Ellen Teipen Holbrook and her husband Steve and their daughter, Izabella Teipen; daughter, Venessa and her husband Ben and their children, Kayli Rodgers, Christina Aughe, Mia Reynolds; three great grandchildren; brother, Clifford Kelley; sisters, Sharon McClary and Mary Thomas.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Roberta Kelley; brothers, Donnie Jones, Gene Kelley; sisters, Mary Ann, Susan, Charlene Hawk, and Barbara Human.
Memorial Visitation will be Tuesday, August 17, 2021 from 2:00 until 4:00 pm at Indiana Funeral Care, Greenwood Chapel.
Memorial service will begin at 4:00 pm.
