Philip Earl Brooks

Philip E. Brooks was born July 3, 1939, in Greenfield, Indiana; a town he was proud to be from. Philip was making the most out of life, spending every day of the last 58 years with the love of his life, his wife Janet. Together they adventure through 49 states, often bringing their children and grandchildren along. With this, he not only fulfilled the promise he made to Janet to take care of her for the rest of his life, but he exceeded that promise by building a life full of love, family, and friends with her.

Philip was a man of many interests and hobbies that he loved sharing with all those who stopped by. Maybe it was making you a cup of coffee to get you to agree to a game of Scrabble, pulling out his collection of coins to show off his latest addition, or asking you to admire a painting of a rooster on a fence with him. He enjoyed the company of all who stopped by but his grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the center of his world.

The people who enriched his life and were lucky enough to have him in theirs are his children: James (Rita), Angel (Richard), David (Tammy), Julie (Ronnie), Michael; grandchildren: Dustin, Michael (Kelsey), Levi (Haley); Ashley, Tony (Michelle), Julianna; Samantha (Noah), Kasey (Wesley), Alexandra (Andrew); great-grandchildren: Brooke, Ava, Dustin
