It is with great sadness that the children of Peggy Joyce Fischer announce her passing on Saturday morning, October 10, 2020. Mom was born on July 4, 1948 and often said how much she appreciated the country and so many strangers lighting fireworks for “little ole me”.
Mom had four children, Donna, Tony, Shannon and Amy along with a son-in-law, Andy, and daughter-in-law, Crystal, and nine grandchildren, Skye, Raven, Destiny, Andrew, Cameron, Caleb, Tyler, Briana and Nathan. Additionally, she had 13 great-grandchildren who named her GG for Great Grandma, (but everyone knew it was really Greatest-Grandma), and one great-great grandchild. All of whom loved her dearly and will miss her each day. And even though her passing is painful and hard to comprehend, we know she is in a better place and finally free from the pain.
Mom was an avid reader, Facebook junkie, crocheter, bingo nut and storyteller that could endlessly entertain anyone listening. She was always happy with an irrepressible spirit that even her illness could not suppress. Mom shared her beautiful smiles with everyone she saw, especially if you gave her a strawberry shake.
Per her wishes we will have a small celebration of life this year and will travel to Florida next year to release her ashes into the ocean. Mom was a natural born water baby and even became a certified scuba diver, so it is only natural that she would want to float along with all the beauty and wonder in the oceanic world that she loved.
Mom, you were a beautiful and charismatic person who we will miss terribly. We promise to honor your memory in our words, thoughts and actions.
Lovingly yours,
Donna, Tony, Shannon and Amy
