Peggy Loucille Swinford Hendricks left this world on October 25, 2022, to spend eternity with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Peggy was born July 20, 1925, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to the late Claude Swinford and Dora Agnes Swinford Gifford. Peggy and her husband, James Hendricks, enjoyed 73 years of marriage, shared a wonderful life together and have been reunited in Heaven to spend eternity together.

Peggy graduated from Tech High School and attended Methodist Hospital nursing program, earning her Registered Nurse degree in 1947. Peggy was a nurse at Methodist Hospital for many years, including head nurse of several units, and finished her career at Meridian Medical Group.

Peggy was a devout member of Castleview Baptist Church with a strong faith and was an avid reader of the Bible. God has taken her home where she can enjoy the things she loved in life, such as music, bird watching, gardening, and sewing, especially making beautiful quilts she shared with many people.

Peggy is survived by her children, Greg (Christine) Hendricks and Glenna Hendricks; Grandchildren, Brad Hendricks, Kevin (Sarah) Hendricks and Erica Hedge; and Great Grandchildren, Samantha, Nathan, Kenlee, Layla, and Nolan. She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, Jim, siblings James Swinford, Louise Gifford Bonewitz and Raymond Gifford.
