Paul Edward Powers Sr.

Paul Edward Powers Sr., 81, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away Friday, November 15, 2024 at home with family by his side.

 He was born on February 25, 1943 to the late Harold Powers Sr. and Ruby May Powers in Indianapolis. 

Paul was a scrapper, he loved collecting cans or anything metal. He loved riding his bicycle and rode it all day everyday collecting. Often his neighbors would leave cans on their fences for him specifically. Even the ice cream man would bring him bags of cans. Paul was a loving father, a giving man with the biggest heart. He was very respected in Mars Hill. 

Paul is survived by his son, Paul Powers Jr.; daughters, Lisa Pierce, Marsha Powers, Amy Medsker; best friend and caretaker, Linda Roland; sisters, Mary Lang, Shirley Rooker, Katie Dillion; grandchildren, Dustin Powers, Dylan Powers, David Powers, Rachel Hubble, Ashley Pierce, Sarah Pierce, Chelsea Pierce, Tiffany Goodman, Jesse Snider, Emily Snider, Kelly Medsker, Cody Medsker and 20 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Ruby; brothers, Harold Powers Jr., Joe Powers, Tommy Powers, Jackie Powers, Ronnie Powers; sister, Linda Pickett; grandson, David Powers and 4 great grandchildren.

Visitation is Friday, November 29, 2024, 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at Indiana Funeral Care, Greenwood Chapel.

Funeral service will begin at noon. 

Burial to immediately follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood, Indiana.
