Patsy R. Hofer

Patsy R. Hofer, 84, of Indianapolis, died April 26, 2021. Patsy was born in Goldsboro, North Carolina, and graduated from Grimsley Senior High School in Greensboro, North Carolina. After high school she went to Washington, D.C. where she met her former Husband Ron Hofer.

She eventually went to work at Indianapolis Public Schools as a Secretary at John Marshall High School and as the Assistant to the Athletic Director at the Ed. Center. She volunteered her time frequently, as a zoo volunteer, a food pantry volunteer and as a Democratic precinct committee person. She liked to travel, garden, bowl, and play cards.

She had been a parishioner at St. Simon the Apostle, Holy Spirit and Nativity Catholic Churches. In her final years, she was a resident of Robin Run Village.

She is survived by her children, Steve (Carol) Hofer and Terrie Hofer, grandchildren Ariana and Eric Hofer, and four loving sisters-in-laws. She is preceded in death by her parents, Daisy (Dunbar) Burns and Luther Jones, and her brother Bobby Jones.

Memorial Service will be at 4pm on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at Indiana Funeral Care, 8151 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, IN. 46250. Visitation starts at 3pm.
