Patricia Deloris Richardson

Patricia Deloris Richardson of Bloomington died November 3, 2022, at Richland Beanblossom Health Center after her battle with dementia. She was born in Monroe County on April 1, 1935, to the late James K. McCoy and Marjorie (Branam) McCoy.

Patricia was a homemaker and was employed at Indiana University until her retirement in 1993 at Residential Programs and Services.  She loved her Lord and Savior Jesus and enjoyed reading her Bible and going to church. Patricia also enjoyed cooking, making pies for her family tending her flowers, as well as visiting with her children and grandchildren.

Patricia is survived by two daughters, Charlene (Roy) Durnal of Greenwood, Donna (Steve) Fleener of Unionville and a son-in-law Marc Knight of Ellettsville. She also has five grandchildren, Nathan (Becky) Wheeler, Marc (Katie) Wheeler, Jennifer (Jeremy) Kelley, Matthew (Jessica) Durnal and Travis Durnal. Seven great grandchildren, Gabriel (Tatiana) Wheeler, Jacob Wheeler, Lauren Wheeler, Tyler Wheeler, Emma Kelley, Trevor Durnal, and Reagan Durnal. Two sisters, Joan Crum, and Sharon (Al) Kaled and several nieces and nephews.

Patricia is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Harry (Gene) Richardson, daughter, Marilyn Knight, sisters, Alma Walker, Wilma Jean Russ, Helen Sinn, and brother James McCoy.

Cremation is being handled by Indiana Funeral Care in Greenwood, Indiana and there are no scheduled public services.
