Patricia Kay Collier (Pat) was born on March 3, 1943 in Pindall, Arkansas to Gerald B. And Hazel Mae Taylor.
Pat met and married the love of her life, Jim Collier, in California in 1963. She followed Jim to Guam to live out the remainder of his Navy career and the birth of their first child. Pat and Jim put down roots in Indianapolis in 1965.
Pat was lovingly know by family as 'Patty Kay' and 'sweetie pie' by Jim. Pat retired from Macy's (L.S Ayres)after 40+ years of dedicated service to care for her mother in law until her passing, and then her own mother.
Pat was an avid reader and enjoyed curling up with a good murder mystery book. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Pat will be remembered most as the glue of her family, for her kind heart and willingness to help family, friends and strangers.
Pat left this earth to rejoice in heaven with her parents, sisters Billie Sue Swafford, and June Cassidy but mostly to reunite with her husband Jim and only son Marc, who she missed dearly.
Pat passed away at her home and leaves behind her daughter Marissa (Rusty) Dobbs, Daughter in Law Therese (Marc) Collier and her beloved grandchildren Alexandra Collier (Alli), Thomas James Dobbs (T.J.) and Braden Dobbs. Sisters Joyce Moore, Kim (Lionel) Dias, Debbie Welch and brother Jerry (Cora)Taylor.
There will be a private family gathering at a later date. "There are no goodbyes for us. Wherever you are, you will always be in my heart."- Mahatma Gandhi
