Ostania Brutus

My heart is broken to share that my wonderful sister, Ostania Brutus, of Indianapolis, IN passed away on July 24, 2024 at the age of 35. She was born in Haiti on January 19, 1989 to parents, Briol Brutus and Bernadette Granville.

Ostania Brutus was my protector and my greatest supporter. We shared a bond that words can hardly describe, filled with laughter and endless support. Her presence in my life was a gift and her memory will continue to guide me.

Ostania was a kind soul with a heart of gold, who was always there for family and friends. She was passionate about listening to music and her work in healthcare, helping people as a CNA. She also excelled in business administration. 

She is survived by her mother, Bernadette Granville; siblings, Spencer Brutus, Dieunette Brutus, Marie Grandville, Guerline Matador, Jeanine Matador, and Bernard Granville.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 12, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. with a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at Indiana Funeral Care, 8151 Allisonville Rd. Indianapolis, IN 46250. Ostania will be laid to rest at Washington Park East Cemetery, Indianapolis, IN. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
