Orrion Dean Dalrymple, age 61, died on Tuesday, November 19th, 2019 in his loving home at Indianapolis. Dean was born on March 17th, 1958 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas.
Dean has always been the linchpin of his very large and loving family. Dean grew up very fast. He was determined to be the best man he could be from a very young age. He attended elementary school at Tandy Elementary and middle school at Meadowbrook Jr. High in Fort Worth, Texas. He attended high school in Harlington Texas at the Marine Military Academy. This experience greatly affected his dreams. After attending Marine Military Academy, he desired a career path in the military. He wanted to pursue a position in which he could support our nation while being a pilot. Due to his eyesight, he was not able to pursue this path. Shortly after high school, he decided to pursue his education by attending college at Texas A&M at College Station where he was a proud member of the Fighting Texas Aggie class of 1980. While attending Texas A&M he pursued many fields of interest including anthropology, technology, and engineering. His first major job out of college was through Southwestern Bell in the IT department in Lawton, Oklahoma.
Shortly before his career at Southwestern Bell, he meet his loving wife Sheryl L. Dalrymple. Three years after being married to his wife he had is first child by the name of Christopher Dalrymple. After several years at Southwestern Bell, he transferred to Florida to continue his career at AT&T. Three years after transferring to Florida, his second child was born by the name of Kyle Dalrymple. Over the next several years, Dean transferred jobs within the IT field in states including Texas, Arkansas, and Indiana.
His father Corbitt Orvel Dalrymple and brother Michael Adam Blackwell preceded Dean in death. His best friend and loving brother-in-law Ron Shafer also preceded him in death. Dean is survived by his wife of 42 years, Sheryl Dalrymple, son Christopher, son Kyle, his mother, Madelon Blackwell, three sisters and two brothers; and a very large extended family.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 25th, 2019 at 12:00 pm at Indiana Funeral Care, 8151 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, with the Rev. Ron Polly officiating. Visiting and viewing will be at Indiana Funeral Care on Monday, on Monday 25th 2019 at 10:00 am- 12:00 pm shortly before service.
