Norma M. West (Hagstrom), 105, of Fishers, IN., died peacefully on February 23, 2021. She was born January 30, 1916 in Ashland Wisconsin.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Hilma and Ernest Hagstrom; husband: Allen A West; sisters: Helny Boyer, Edna Benson, and Alice Bystrom.
She is survived by: daughter, Linda Newhouse and son, Roger West (Lynn), 5 grandchildren: Jennifer Tipple (Trent), Melinda Newhouse (Roy Godine), Derek Newhouse (Amelia), Eric West (Samira) and Ben West(Lisa), and 13 great grandchildren: Nate and Sofia Tipple; Theo, Gus, and Silas Newhouse-Godine; Cody and Lexie Newhouse; Braden, Lucas, CJ, and Zoe West; and Josiah and Shekinah West.
Many nieces, nephews and great nephew.
She was formerly employed at Merchants National Bank. She was an active member of Castleview Church, formerly Devington Baptist Church. She loved to read, sew, knit, watch IU basketball, and entertain friends. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2021 from 2pm – 3pm at Indiana Funeral Care, 8151 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis IN 46250. Private family service to follow at 3pm. Participation for visitation and service will be limited due to Covid restrictions. A mask is required.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to: Wheeler Mission: 2730 Madison Ave. Indianapolis, IN 46225 or Anew Hospice: 3830 E Southport Rd Ste 300 Indianapolis, IN 46237.
