Nicole Nangle died at University of Louisville Hospital on June 8. She was 33.
Nicole graduated from St. Lawrence Catholic School in 2001 after eight years of school there. She graduated from Bishop Chatard High School in 2005 and received a scholarship to Indiana University where she studied criminal justice. She later became interested in health care careers and completed medical assistant coursework at Medtech College in Indianapolis before finally deciding to pursue a career in nursing. She received her associate’s degree in nursing in 2016 from Medtech College.
Nicole served as a nanny and later as a private nurse. She was an avid reader from an early age and she excelled in soccer. She participated in traveling soccer from age 7 to high school and she was on the soccer team at Bishop Chatard High School.
Nicole is survived by her son, Nicholes Giavonni McGinnis, (Geo), 9, her grandmother, Marie Hoeping, who was her legal guardian since age 3, her mother Melissa Nangle, her father Shawn Smith, and siblings Jasmine James, Tiffany Nangle, and Brandon Camphor
Funeral Mass will be at 11am on Monday, June 15, 2020 at Holy Spirit Parish at Geist, 10350 Glaser Way, Fishers, IN 46037. Visitation prior to service starting at 10am. Burial to follow at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery.
