Naomi S. “Susie” (Murphy) Wagoner, 86 of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2021.

She was born Tuesday, June 4, 1935 in Kettle, Kentucky to the late James P. and Sudie (Melton) Murphy.

Susie was a member at Thompson Road Baptist Church for many years and loved attending service. She was a very lively, spunky, and full of life woman who was also a simple woman and was beloved by so many including staff and residents at Five Star Residences.

She was an amazing bowler and was on multiple leagues over the years. She brought her more than a few bowling trophies. Cooking, baking, and being in the kitchen was Susie’s favorite place to be. She would cook for family gatherings and friends. If you showed up, you were getting fed. She was amazing at making pies. Her signature pie was a Chocolate Cream.
Cooking was a joy to her.

Susie is survived by her children, Paul Stettler and his wife Donna, Jeff James and his wife Sandy, Jenny Wagoner and her husband Craig; brothers, Wes Murphy, Max Murphy; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.

Visitation is Monday, September 13, 2021 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at Indiana Funeral Care, Greenwood Chapel.

Graveside service at 11:30 am at Greenwood Cemetery
