Nanette M. Watson

Nanette “Nan” Millager Watson was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She entered heaven on January 8, 2022 at age 85.
She was born to Robert and Margaret Millager on December 7, 1936 in Warren, Ohio. She had a wonderful childhood being spoiled by her three older brothers and working at the family Pharmacy and soda fountain. After attending Hiram College in Cleveland, Ohio she worked as a Lab Technician in Wabash, Indiana where she met the love of her life, Paul “Ed” Watson. The romance was followed by marriage on August 13, 1961 and the doting couple moved to Indianapolis to start their lifelong adventure. Once settling in Fishers, IN they adopted two wonderful children Elizabeth and Peter.
Nan’s career included lab technician, survey and research but her favorite was working at the Krannert Heart hospital. Her selfless contributions to the lives of many included Meals on Wheels, crocheting sleeping mats for the homeless, beautifying church gardens and volunteering at the humane society. Nana’s Legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone. Entertaining and making any place her family lived a beautiful, welcoming and loving home was her life’s passion. She enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren and attending their activities. Vacationing and Traveling with Ed and close friends was always special to her.
Nan is survived by husband of 60 years, Paul E. Watson, daughter Elizabeth “Liz” Watson and husband Andy Rector, son Peter Watson, grandchildren Abby, Mallory and Wyatt, loved one Christy Miller Watson and brother Dick Millager and wife Janine. She was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Margaret Millager, brothers Bob Millager and Bill Millager.
Visitation is scheduled from 3:00pm to 5:00pm on Saturday, January 15, 2022, at Indiana Funeral Care 8151 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, IN 46250. Service at 5:00pm
