Nancy Sue Conway

July 26, 1952 — September 10, 2021

Nancy Sue Conway, 69, of Connersville, Indiana, passed away at IU Health University Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana, on September 10, 2021.

Sue was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Helen and Andrew Tribulak on July 26, 1952. She was a proud graduate of the George Washington High School class of 1970. After marrying her husband Pat, the family moved to Connersville in 1979 to open their auto parts business. Together, they had two daughters: Theresa and Stephanie.

Sue was a loving, funny, and understanding sister, wife, aunt, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was also a music teacher and mentor who inspired and connected with generations of young people through her generosity, sense of humor, stories, and love of music. For decades, she touched the lives of many through her involvement in concerts, choirs, piano lessons, competitions, and sports like swimming, softball, and dance. Sue enjoyed gardening, adopting senior dogs, traveling the United States (especially beaches), spending time with her family, and spoiling her three grandsons.

Sue is survived by her husband of 43 years, Patrick Conway; daughter Theresa and son-in-law Randy Wilson; daughter Stephanie Conway; three grandsons Zachary, Aaron, and Samuel Wilson; and sister and brother-in-law Trudy and Ed Pursell.

Contributions may be made in Sue’s honor to Connersville Middle School Choir or Connersville High School Choir via a check made out to the choir of your choice and mailed to Fayette County School Corporation, 1401 Spartan Drive, Connersville, Indiana, 47331. Please write “In memory of Sue Conway” in the memo line. Her music will live on in all who loved her. The family plans to celebrate her legacy and bright light at a later date. Thank you for the music.
