Nancy A. Dickey, 80, of Indianapolis, gained her wings Sunday, October 18th. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family.
Nancy grew up in Indianapolis, married Wendell Dickey and made a beautiful family. She was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, homemaker and grandmother. She worked some few years at RCA, Russell Stover Candies and CMW. Yet she was especially proud of being an exceptional homemaker. Nancy sheltered many strays, dogs and people alike, through the years. Anyone who visited her home felt like family and was welcomed with an open heart. As she reached status as a full time grandmother, everyone called her Grandma and she enjoyed the title and privilege to the fullest with complete pride. She was truly beloved by all!
Nancy is survived by her brother Danny Woolbright; children Steve Dickey, Claudia Blacketer (Darrell), Cathy Wimmer, Brian Dickey (Angela); grandchildren Jessica Naylor (Danial), Jason Blacketer, Chase Blacketer, Sarah Vaugh (Ryan), Jamie Burton, Dylan Bass, David Dickey, Chris Dickey (Ashley), Carla Carter (David) and 14 great grandchildren.
In person memorial services will not be observed due to health and safety concerns for family and friends. We welcome all to post memories and pictures on her Facebook to share and celebrate all the love she gave.
