Morris Edward Buford

Morris Edward Buford, born April 16, 1946, was a husband, father, grandfather, and a loving brother and friend. He joined God in heaven on January 21, 2025, from natural causes.

Morris was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, but later moved to Cleveland, Ohio with his parents, Henry Buford and Lucille Buford. At the age of 18, he decided to move back to Indy, where he then planted his roots.

He left behind his wife, Betty Buford; adult kids, Tonya Buford, and Sherry Edwards (Richard Fisher), and 2 adult grandkids, Anthony Buford and Calvin Buford (Robyn R. Edwards). His great grandkids, Alayiah Buford, Calvin Buford, Jr. and Khalil Buford; siblings, Beverly Wiley, Sam Buford, Eva Webb, and Sherry Cox.

Morris enjoyed listening to gospel, jazz, blues, and R&B music. He was an amazing drummer, conga and bongo player. Once he started playing a great big smile would shine on his face and brighten up his entire surroundings. Feet started tapping, hands began slapping, heads was bobbing, and before you know it, a holy ghost dance was all around the church. Hallelujah, Hallelujah!
