Mickie Stinson

Mildred Edna Stinson, affectionately known as Mickie, peacefully passed away on July 22, 2024, at the age of 97. Mickie's journey began on October 5, 1926, in Milwaukee, WI, born to Frank and Louise Ganschow. Mickie's loving husband Dewey Stinson Jr., whom she married on October 11, 1947, preceded her in death in 2001. Together, Mickie and Dewey raised their five children, a legacy that continues through her numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and even a great-great-grandchild.

Throughout her life, Mickie found joy in the simple pleasures - time spent with family and friends, attending Bible studies at the First United Methodist Church in Vincennes, IN, and cheering on her favorite baseball and basketball teams. Mickie's dedication to her family was unparalleled, and she devoted herself to nurturing her children and grandchildren, creating everlasting memories.

Mickie's memory will forever be cherished by her children - Mark Gordon Stinson, John Randall Stinson, Nancy Lee Cain Faith, Patricia Louise White (deceased), and Mary Ann Gray. She formed lasting bonds with each of her twelve grandchildren and found immense joy in the presence of her great-grandchildren.

Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Louise Ganschow; her loving husband, Dewey Stinson Jr., her daughter, Patricia Louise; her 2 brothers and 2 sisters.

Friends are invited to join the family for a Graveside Service celebrating Mickie's life at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Vincennes, IN, on July 26, 2024, at 1:00 pm. The ceremony will be a tribute to Mickie's journey and the legacy of love and warmth she leaves behind.

In the wake of Mickie's passing, her memory will endure through the lives she touched and the love she shared. Her legacy of kindness, warmth, and unwavering devotion to family will be remembered fondly by all who knew her. Mickie will be deeply missed but forever cherished in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
