Saint Mildred Pimpton was born on May 10, 1940 to Oscar Mae and Jennie V. Hunter in Marion, Arkansas. She relocated to Indianapolis, Indiana with her father and mother. At an early age she was baptized and received Jesus Christ as her personal savior.
Saint Pimpton was one of the secretaries and general secretary for The United House of Prayer For All People. Saint Pimpton became a saint in 1976 under the bishop W. McCullough. Saint Pimpton was the president of the user board in 2000. Saint Mildred Pimpton was employed for fifteen years at RCA and for twenty six years at IPS Arlington High School as a supervisor until she retired in 1997. She attended Clark College taking AP business.
Saint Pimpton loved to watch daytime soaps, QVC, HSN channel. Shopping was her thang. Saint Pimpton loved spending time with her family, her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Saint Pimpton never met a stranger. Those who knew her, knew she spoke what was on her mind and never bit her tongue. Saint Pimpton enjoyed listening to gospel music.
Saint Pimpton departed her worn earthly temple and this life on July 26, 2020 after “fighting the good fight”. She is preceded in death by her father, Oscar Hunter; mother, Jennie V. Hunter; son, Shawn Pimpton; sisters, Carolyn Jean Hunter and Helen Emondson; and brothers, Oscar Hunter Jr. and Leroy Hunter. Saint Pimpton is survived by her daughter, Debra White; two sons, Anthony Hunter and Eddie Ward; sisters, Millie Williams and Beatrice Hunter; brother, Jeffery Hunter; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.
