Dale Annette Maynard

Dale Annette Maynard was born on a subzero icy winter night near St John’s Harbor in Newfoundland , Canada on February 13, 1961. Her Dad was in the Air Force stationed at Earnest Harmon Air Force Base . Born into a military family, she grew up on bases in the US ( California, Montana, Texas and Ohio) and overseas in Japan and Germany.  She passed away due to complications of Alzheimer’s Disease on Saturday, July 15, 2023.

Dale completed her secondary education in Findlay, Ohio and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from the University of Toledo in Ohio, in 1986. She moved to Indianapolis, IN in 1988 where she maintained her home while traveling the world for both pleasure and her work as an Investigator for a corporate insurance underwriter and a diamond business owner.
 
Dale was known both for her beauty and vivacious personality by everyone lucky enough to be her friend or part of her family. She was a favorite aunt, especially beloved for her fun and quirky nature. She was both very smart and kind to all she met. The world is lesser for her passing.

She leaves behind her father Lawrence Maynard of Wichita Falls, Tx. She shared 26 years of companionship with spouse William ( Bill) Hanson. Her brother Glen and wife Gwen of Wichita Falls. Sister Tammy Kendall of Possum Kingdom, Tx. Brother Jay and wife Kristen of Lake Andes, South Dakota.  Nephews Steve, Matt, Nick, Brady, Aaron Sands, Jacob and nieces Kali and Brandii. Seven great nephews and nieces and four stepchildren.  She especially loved her long time friends Donna and Duane Merchant, and their son Joseph.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Corinne Maynard, nephew, Thomas Maynard, grandparents Joseph Thibodeau and Theresa Thibodeau, grandparents Clarence Maynard and Francis Maynard. And her favorite cats , Tigger, Friendly, Scout, Shy, Little Girl, Buddy and Meep.
