Michael Morris Hall passed away in the early morning of Saturday July 18th, 2020 at St. Vincent Heart Hospital in Carmel, Indiana. He was born on July 29th 1949 in East Chicago to William and Kathryn Hall. He grew up in his younger years in Calumet City and later moved to Lowell, IN where he lived off of State Road 41. He graduated from Lowell High School in 1967 and then married Diane Guritz in 1970. He worked his whole life at one employer, Rieter Automotive (formerly Globe Industries), for 40 years. Starting on the assembly line, he quickly rose to the level of Plant Controller.
Mike was a humble man with a great sense of humor. His smile could fill a room. He had a love for drag racing, bowling, golfing and Star Trek as well as excelling at Excel. For years, he traveled across the country with his CAS-X astronomy group. And with his wife Diane, he visited all of the great national parks in their RV with their two dogs.
Family meant the world to him. Like his mother, he wanted everyone to be happy. He is survived by his sister Pat; brothers George (Bud) and Rick; his wife Diane; son and wife Michael and Mai Kou; daughter Robin; and granddaughter Charlotte.
Family and friends will be invited to a memorial gathering to celebrate his life, date and location still undetermined at this time.
