Michael Joseph Grzelak, age 74, of Greenfield entered the Kingdom of Heaven on January 22, 2021. He was born on January 27, 1946, in Chicago, Illinois. Michael was the son of the late Marvin and Marilyn Grzelak. They relocated to the Indianapolis area where Michael graduated from Warren Central high school. After graduation, Michael studied carpentry and started his own business, G+M Cabinetry. His craftsmanship can be seen in buildings throughout the Indianapolis area. In his youth, he enjoyed flying single-engine airplanes. In retirement, he enjoyed gourmet cooking and spending time with his grandchildren. Michael was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Greenfield. He was deeply dedicated to living in the teachings of his faith and was known as a man who lived with a servant’s heart, always caring for those around him.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years Mary Ann Grzelak and their 4 children; Kathleen (husband, Martin) Morrow and their three boys Marty, Max, and Mason; Adam Grzelak; AnnMarie Grzelak and her daughter Liliana; Angie Grzelak and her daughter Piper; his sister Marla (husband, Pete) Zinkan, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Indiana Funeral Care located at 8151 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, IN 46250, on Saturday, January 30 from 9:30-12:00. In compliance with current Covid regulations and restrictions, guests are required to wear face masks at all times. Occupancy will be limited to 25 visitors at a time. There will be a private service following visitation that will be streamed in the link below. Burial will follow at Washington East cemetery, 10612 E. Washington Street, Indianapolis, IN 46219.
