It is with great sadness that the family of Michael G. Cox of Fishers, announces his passing on Friday March 8th, 2024, at the age of 66. He was born on May 31st, 1957, to Walter and Helen (Larwinski) Cox in Detroit, Michigan.
Michael graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University with an associate degree in business. He had an array of varied careers throughout his life. The career he loved the most was working for Habitat for Humanity and helping others.
Michael enjoyed drag racing, scuba diving, and karate as a young adult. He also had a lifelong passion and quest of restoring a 1957 Chevy Bel Air. Michael enjoyed cheering on Detroit teams (Red Wings and Lions) and loving on his grand dogs. His greatest joy came in spending time with family at the lake and fishing. Michael was best at lighting up a room with his goofy faces and silly hats.
He is survived by his wife of almost 42 years, Karen Potter Cox; daughters, Heather (Adam) Jahn and Brittany Cox; 2 grandchildren, Ava and Evelyn Jahn; and his sister, Leanne (Randy) Czarnecki.
Michael will be cremated according to his wishes and a celebration of life will be held at a future date in Indiana.
