Melanie Ann Hutchens, 65 of Indianapolis, IN. passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2023. Melanie was born to Lester and Jean Weidler on September 8, 1958.
In addition to her role as a caregiver, Melanie was proud of her surrogate business, through which she helped numerous families experience the joy of having children. Her selflessness and dedication touched the lives of many.
Melanie was preceded in death by her fathers, Lester Weidler and George Grimm, as well as her mother, Jean Grimm (Weidler). She is survived by her sons, Jason (Amber Denham) Rynard, Jayme Hutchens, Justin Hutchens (Kara Hutchens), Edouard Amaury Gay, daughters Lesley Ciovacco (Tony Ciovacco), Enola Amélie Gay (Serkan Tektas), brother Steve Weidler (Judy Weidler), sister Leslie Grable (Larry Denslow), her 12 grandchildren, and her companion who stood by her through all of life's experiences and sickness, Billy Kerchner.
Melanie received her education from North Central High School and went on to study at the College of Massage in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She pursued a career at Massage Envy, where she brought comfort and relief to countless individuals. Melanie's life was enriched by her faith, and she found solace at Northview Christian Church. Her unwavering belief in God guided her through life's challenges and brought her peace.
A visitation will be held at 1:00 pm, followed by a service at 3:00 pm on Sunday, January 14, 2024, at Indiana Funeral Care, located at 8151 Allisonville Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46250. The caring professionals at Indiana Funeral Care are assisting the family with the arrangements.
Melanie will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her legacy of selflessness, love, and dedication will forever be cherished. May her soul rest in peace.
