Melanie Fernandez

Melanie Jean Fernandez, 63, passed away January 17th, 2023 in Indianapolis, IN. She was a resident of Franklin, IN.

Melanie was born August 5th, 1959 in Dayton, OH. to Don and Tommie Jean Corbin.

Melanie grew up in Florida and was a 1978 graduate of Lely High School.

She spent 30 years working in the medical field, 20 years with IU Health, and Riley Hospital. Her favorite was holding and helping care for all the babies.

Melanie is survived by her only son, Robert (Nicole) Fernandez; her granddaughter, Shelby; her brother, Mark Corbin; her sister, Brenda Corbin-Bliss; and several cousins, aunts, nieces, and nephews.

There will be a visitation and memorial service on Friday, January 27th, 2023 at Indiana Funeral Care, Greenwood Chapel. The visitation is from 11:00am to 1:00pm with the memorial service to start at 1:00pm.
