Mary Hart

Mary Lou Hart, 83, of Indianapolis, IN, passed away June 16^th, 2022. Visitation will be held at Southport Presbyterian Church, Indianapolis, IN from 10am to 12pm, Monday, June 27^th, 2022, with the funeral service immediately following. Mrs. Hart will be interred at Washington Park East Cemetery.

Mary Lou was born to Marcus and Marguerite Stapert (Doktor) on June 8^th, 1939, in Indianapolis. She was married to Robert L. Hart for 60 years. Mary Lou’s first job was a salesclerk for L.S. Ayres, a job she loved. She also worked as a bookkeeper and salesclerk at Marsh and at A+P Grocery. She worked for the Convention Center as a server for banquets. She enjoyed being a small business owner of Mark Anthony’s. She was also a tax preparer for H+R Block. Her last job was at Methodist Plaza South in housekeeping and supervised a cleaning crew for EMS co. She loved being a mother and grandmother to her children and grandchildren.

Mary Lou is survived by her daughter, Julie Richard (Morris); her sons, Robert L. Hart Jr. and Mark Hart (Laura); granddaughters Chloe Lechuga, Abby Hart, Katie Hart, Shelly Richard; grandsons, Nick Richard, Dustin Richard (Robin), Michael Richard, Christopher Merry (Brandy), and Kyle Hart (Vanessa); great-granddaughters, Amber Blanton, Alicia Lechuga, Lili Lechuga, Lucy Merry; great-grandsons, Caleb Merry and Jesse Hart, and great-great granddaughters, Ellie Webb, Marcie Trimble, and Clementine Teater.
