Mary Lee Cochran

Mary Lee Cochran (Carmel, IN) passed away peacefully with her loved ones by her side on August 22, 2023. She was born on April 13, 1933 in Ashland, OH.

Mary Lee lived and loved a full and active 90 years. She found great joy in her community as she worked, volunteered, and gave back throughout her life. She held roles at Conner Prairie and Helios tea room, worked as a school teacher, volunteered at the Carmel Palladium, and was largely involved in her church. As an avid music lover, she participated in bands and was a wonderful pianist and clarinet player. What she most enjoyed was spending time with her family, pets, and friends and she never turned down a hot cup of tea.

Mary Lee was preceded in passing by her loving husband, Richard Dean Cochran, and her mother and father, Walter and Goldie Bomeli.

She will be missed by her children, Sandy (Scott), Steve (Sasiwan), Susan (Jeff); her sister, Anna Belle (Lloyd); her grandchildren, Michelle (Ryan), Greg (Lizzi), Whitney (Nick), Andrea (Jacob), Jake (Kayla), Jenna (Scott), Jaret; and her 12 great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Hamilton County Humane Society.
