Mary Anna Hunt, 63, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on October 29, 2024. She was born on October 17, 1961. Her parents were Malcolm and Helen Kaiser (Dawson).
Mary Anna grew up in Noblesville IN on a farm and was involved in 4H. She graduated from Noblesville high school in 1980.
Mary Anna joined the army where she was trained as a stock control specialist. Her duty station was in Fort Hood Texas. She was in A Company First Cavalry Division.
Many years later she worked at the DFAS (Defense Finance Accounting Service) building in Indianapolis,
Mary Anna met Kermit in Kingston, New York at a Rodney Howard Brown revival meeting. They adored each other. They were married June 5, 1993. They celebrated 21 years of marriage.
Mary Anna enjoyed many hobbies and activities throughout her life. She loved to color, paint, assemble puzzles, and write. She published a book: Pieces of the Master's Quilt. It is an autobiography where she shares the ups and downs of her life. She testifies of how God has saved, led, protected and loved her. The purpose of her writing is to encourage others to look to God.
She loved the Lord so very much and enjoyed going to church. Kermit and Mary Anna ministered at various nursing homes. They would play the harpsicle and sing.
She loved her cats Sammie, Sofi, and Little Bit. She also loved to go on riverboat cruises to enjoy the people and the scenery.
Mary Anna is survived by her brother Joe Kaiser.
She is preceded in death by Malcolm and Helen Kaiser (Dawson) and husband Kermit Hunt.
Funeral services are being held at Indiana Funeral Care — Harry W. Moore Chapel, 8151 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis IN 46250. Visitation will be on Wednesday November 6th from 10am to 12pm, with the funeral service beginning at 12pm. She will be laid to rest following services at Sutherland Park Cemetery.
