Martha L. Bellamy

Martha was born at Methodist hospital in Indianapolis Indiana on February 3rd, 1943, to Anna (Moss) and Herbert English of Owensboro, KY,

She had three brothers, Herbert English Jr., William English, and Paul English who preceded her in death and one living sister JoNell Shaw of Franklin Indiana.

Martha was married to Thomas David Bellamy for 34 years prior to his passing. Martha and Tom have three children, David Bellamy (wife-Glenda Bellamy), Tammy Dunn and Tina Bemis (husband-Benjamin Bemis). They also had five grandchildren, Joshua Bellamy (deceased) Richard Marcinko, Katie Bemis, Jessica Dunn and Whitney Sanders. Martha had one great-grand child, Callie Sanders and one on the way.

Martha began her first job at age 11 babysitting and at age 13 started working for Teeters Drug Store. She graduated from Broad Ripple High School in Indianapolis and shortly after at age 17 was married to Thomas David Bellamy.

Martha’s occupation was always and forever a wife, mother and grandmother. She also worked as a florist, raised dogs and was a CNA at Robin Run Health Center. She was a member of the Parkinson’s Association and volunteered as a youth leader at St. Simon’s Catholic Church.

A memorial service will be Saturday, March 7, 2020 with a short service at 1:00 pm then a gathering of family and friends until 3:00 pm at Otterbein Senior Living, Wright Memorial Chapel, Franklin, IN.
