It is with profound sadness tempered only by the certainty of the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, that we announce the falling asleep in the Lord of the servant of God, Martha Al Dihneh, on Wednesday January 27th after a brief illness surrounded by her loving family in Noblesville IN.
Born on January 1st, 1931 in Syria, Martha was the Mother of seven daughters, two sons, and Grandmother to thirty one grandchildren. After living the majority of her life in Syria, Martha came to the United States at age 65 to be with her daughters and son. Martha was known for her generous nature, always helping the less fortunate. In both Syria and the US, her passion was helping others, taking care of the elderly and children in need. She would sometimes be found cooking for her entire neighborhood. A specialty for which she was known was Arabic flatbread, handmade over the fire which was truly a delicacy enjoyed by all. Her faith in God compelled her to faithful service to her Church.
Visitation from 12pm until 2pm on Thursday January 28th, with funeral services at 2pm at St. George Orthodox Christian Church 10748 E 116th St, Fishers Indiana.
