Marjorie Carole Rose Tolin

April 19, 1942 — February 22, 2021

Marjorie Carole Rose Tolin, 78, of Indianapolis went to her eternal rest on February 22, 2021. She was born April 19, 1942 to Clarence E. Ginn and Marjorie Armstrong.

Carole, as she was known to her family and friends, attended P.S. 38 and Arsenal Technical High School. She was an avid reader, and according to her daughter always made sure her children had a library card. She was always ready for adventure, whether traveling long distance or walking to her nearby park.

She grew up with and is survived by brothers, Charles Ginn and Harold Ginn (Maxine), and her sisters Helen Rosenberg (Bob) and Diane Pavey.

She married and had four children, Denise Harper, Kathy VanHolten, and Bob Harper. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Anita Joan Van Holten Stepp.

She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Robin Miller, Amanda Hacquebord, Clinton Dixon, Rachael Stepp, Matthew Miller, Christina Stepp, Chelsie Harper, and Clare Miller, as well as several great grandchildren.

Memorial Services will be held at Indiana Funeral Care, 8151 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis on March 12, 2021. Visitation beginning at 2:00 p.m., Memorial at 3:00 p.m., with dinner to follow at MCL Castleton.

COVID restriction on gathering size permits only family and close friends to attend.

Masks and social distancing are required for Visitation and Memorial.
