Marilyn Joan Beaverson

September 27, 1936 — September 15, 2024

Noblesville

Marilyn J. Beaverson passed away on September 15, 2024 with family having been present and loving her through her final days. She was 87 years old.

Born to Milo and Inez Habegger in Berne, Ind. on September 27, 1936 Marilyn married the love of her life, Roger, on June 15, 1958.

Marilyn graduated from Berne-French Township High School then attended Taylor University, where she met Roger.

Marilyn loved music and singing throughout her lifetime. She sang over the radio waves on occasion as a young girl with her sister. She gave piano lessons to young children as she and Roger started their life together in Bloomington, Ind. and continued to provide lessons to her four sons and some grandchildren in the coming decades. She and Roger sang duets on countless occasions, from weddings to church events and family song nights. Music was a centerpiece of the family.

Marilyn viewed motherhood as her calling and was an amazing Mom to not only her four sons, but to their many friends and, in time, daughters-in-law. As her youngest started high school, she worked part-time at Hair Hutch as a receptionist and scheduler. She also worked at Little Women Childrens Boutique. Following that, she worked at Little Women then Stein Mart, where she received several Employee of the Month and Employee of the Year accolades."  She loved fashion and was thrilled to assist others in putting just the right outfit together to make the wearer feel special.

Marilyn took joy in serving alongside Roger as high school Sunday School teachers at Faith Missionary Church for many years. The twosome also served as Band Booster Parents for the Lawrence North Marching Band for many years and significantly impacted many young lives.

Her memory will be cherished by all surviving members of her family, including sons, Randy (Valerie), Greg (Lesli), Mitch (Melissa), and Philip (Dawn); 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren (with a sixth arriving early 2025).

One of Marilyn’s favorite verses is Galatians 2:20: “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”
