Marigrace Nichols

Marigrace Nichols, 63 years old, died from ALS in the early morning hours of Saturday, September 17, 2022. She was with family at the time of her death. Marigrace was born in Indianapolis on September 1, 1959. She was the daughter of the late Paul and Grace Nichols.

Marigrace graduated from Ben Davis High School. She went on to have an almost 10 year reign as the fry cook at McDonalds which she took great pride in.

She is survived by one son, Joseph Paul Nichols (Emily). Unfortunately, Marigrace passed before the birth of her first grandson who is supposed to be born near September 30th. She is survived by her sister Vicky Koors and brother Tim Nichols (Georgetta) as well as a sister in law Wanda Nichols. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents she was predeceased by a brother, Paul Stanley Nichols Jr. and sister, Paulette Schmutte , brother in law Bill Schmutte and a brother in law Ed Koors.

Marigrace loved to needlepoint, making gifts for many family and friends. She loved her church and attending was very important to her. Marigrace also loved to sing and as long as she had breath in her lungs she joined in on a song asking to turn the radio on as soon as she entered a car. Marigrace did not know a stranger and she loved her family.

Visitation will be held at St. Ann’s Catholic Church on Mooresville Road, Indianapolis at 11 o’clock Friday, September 23, 2022 with the funeral Mass starting at 12 noon. Burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery on Troy Avenue, Indianapolis.

As our dear brother Paul (Nick) said on our parents headstone “God gives us love and then gives us someone to love”, Marigrace loved, she was loved and she will be missed.
