Margaret Artie Dawson

Margaret Artie Dawson, 78, was born on February 11, 1946, in Indianapolis, IN, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2024, in her beloved hometown. A dedicated caregiver, Margaret worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and spent many years in the Deli Department at Marsh and Meijer, where her warm smile and kind heart touched the lives of many.

Margaret was a mother to five daughters: Debbie Chadd, Darlene Spradlin (Ray Spradlin), Vickie Del Rio (Eddie Del Rio), Michelle McNiff (John McNiff), and Sherry Burgess. She was a grandmother of 10, 5 grandsons, Joshua Chadd, Kevin Chadd, Corey Chadd, Robbie Spradlin, and 1 remaining grandson, as well as her 5 granddaughters, Jessica Henderson, Joanna Johnson, Lacie McNiff, and 2 remaining granddaughters. Margaret was a Great grandma to her seven great-grandchildren as well a great great grand child.

Preceded in death by her husband, Victor Dawson, as well as her father, William T. Runyan, her mother, Elizabeth Beard Runyan, and her son-in-law, Donnie Chadd, Margaret's spirit lives on in the hearts of her family and friends.

In her free time, Margaret found solace and joy in her love for plants, nurturing them with the same care she showed to those around her. Her family remembers her as a mother and grandmother, allowing each of them to cherish the special moments they had with their mother and grandmother.

Margaret will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her, but her memory will forever remain in their hearts.

Margaret wishes to be cremated, so no services will be provided.
