Margaret A. McAndrews

Margaret McAndrews, age 87, died peacefully surrounded by her family on November 18th, 2019. Margaret was born on March 22nd 1932 in Indianapolis, Indiana. She grew up in the Holy Cross neighborhood on the east side of Indianapolis. Margaret graduated from St Mary’s Academy in 1950 and considered going into modeling. In 1956 she married Jeremiah McAndrews at Holy Cross Catholic Church.
Margaret had many jobs throughout the years, but her favorite was working as a teacher’s aide with kindergarten students in Perry Township Schools. She enjoyed bible study, learning about prophecy, discussing the Book of Revelations and educating herself about holistic medicine.
Margaret is the mother of 3 amazing children: Gina Walk (Jeff); Dennis McAndrews (Charlene) and Jackie Cook (Bruce). She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren as well as a sister Lucille Frazee.
Margaret was proceeded in death by her parents Mary and Vincent Volk, her husband Jeremiah McAndrews, her brother Paul Volk and her granddaughter Hannah Elizabeth Walk.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, November 25, 2019 at Indiana Funeral Care - Greenwood Chapel, 2433 East Main Street, Greenwood, Indiana 46143. The Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at Calvary Cemetery, 435 West Troy Avenue Indianapolis, Indiana 46225. Entombment will immediately follow.
