Marc Zender

      Marc R. Zender, 67, passed away on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at his lake house in Brown County, IN.   Marc was born on July 19^th, 1956 in the Highland Park Area of Chicago Illinois to James H. and Grace A. (Hodowal) Zender.  He graduated from Cathedral High School in 1974.  Marc married Donna L. (King) Zender in 1977.  They were happily married for 46 years before his passing.  Marc worked for the family owned and operated apartment rental company, Zender Properties, until it’s sale in 2015.  Upon his retirement, he purchased his dream home in Brown County, IN where he enjoyed fishing, watching classic films, listening to music, and watching his hummingbirds.  Marc enjoyed life and spending time with family and friends.  He always had a story or joke or piece of trivia to share.  He will be greatly missed.

              Marc is survived by his wife Donna L. (King) Zender, 2 sons Joseph R. (Kaitlyn) Zender and Thomas E. (Sarah) Zender; and 4 grandchildren Lilian Grace, Sloane Elizabeth, Henry Thomas, and Christopher Robert.  He is also survived by his mother Grace A. (Hodowal) Zender, his siblings and their spouses Michael (Lois) Zender, and Tim (Virginia) Zender, Tracy (Jeff) Lawson, and Lisa Zender (Steve Earnhart) and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his father James H. Zender.
