Luther “Tank” “Luke” Clark Jackson, 42, Indianapolis, Indiana passed away Friday, April 15, 2022.

He was born on Wednesday, September 5, 1979, in Bloomington, Indiana to Donald Dwayne Jackson and Sonja (Nevins) Helms. Luke grew up in Bloomington and graduated from Bloomington High School North.

Over the years Luke worked for Fastenal Corporation and Big Red Liquors. He was a board member for Franklin Township Youth Football (FTYF) where he also was a coach. He was also a hug Chicago Bears, Notre Dame, Indianapolis Colts and NASCAR fan.

He is preceded in death by his father Donald Dwayne Jackson; brother, Mikel Jackson; grandparents, Carol Sue and Donald Jackson, Donald, and Velva Nevins.

Luke is survived by his wife, Heather (Mellinger) Jackson; mother, Sonja (Nevins) Helms; children, Hunter and Blake Jackson of Bloomington, Indiana, Katelyn Mellinger and her fiancé Brandon Passarelli, Kelsey Mellinger, Kenzie Mellinger, Kami, Karli, and Luther Jr. (LJ) of Indianapolis, Indiana; grandchildren, Sophia and Mason Passarelli; siblings, Blaine Jackson (Darlena) of Springville, Indiana and Dylan Jackson (Haley Patton) of Vincennes, Indiana; several nieces and nephews and a large amount of friends who he truly loved like family.

Visitation is Tuesday, April 19, 2022 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Indiana Funeral Care, Greenwood Chapel.
