Lue Ella Pirtle was the daughter of John Will and Vera Pirtle. She attended Bolivar Industrial High in Bolivar Tennessee, where she obtained her diploma.
After relocating and making Indianapolis her home Lue Ella united with Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church. She later moved her membership to Umoja Christian Church, her final church home was Purpose of Life Ministries under the leadership of Pastor Rev David W Greene Sr. At all of her places she worshipped she loved to use her gift which was they her voice she was part of the choir, the praise teams. She loved to sing and praise the Lord.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Wilford E Shannon.
While being a member of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, she also was the director of The Crisis Care Center which she loved. She loved giving and helping people. Everyone loved there Ms. Pirtle.
Lue Ella did not meet a stranger, she help people anyway she could by providing transportation to pantries, doctors appointments and an occasional stop at the mall. Lue Ella loved to dress even if she was just going to the grocery store that outfit was matching from head to toe.
Lue Ella was a loving mother to her daughter and son, a devoted and loving grandmother, and great grandmother. A caring sister, auntie, cousin and friend. All who knew her and loved her will sadly miss her.
She leaves to cherish her memory her son Jeffrey Tyrone Junious (Robin), Twin daughters Machelle Perry, Rachelle Thomas and her baby girl Angela Denise Laners Stubbs (Terrence).
Sisters Viola (Ezell) Coates, Rosetta Pirtle, Annie Bea Pirtle and baby brother Ernest (Margie) Pirtle. She leaves six grandchildren, and fifteen great grandchildren.
Leaving behind a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, great friends and church members.
She was preceded in death by five brothers and five sisters.
