Louis Neal Phillips, 68, of Camby, Indiana passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at Franciscan Health, Mooresville, Indiana.
He was born on Monday, March 3, 1952 to Fred and Christine (Vance) Phillips in Elkins, West Virginia.
Louis graduated from Arlington Baptist Bible College in Arlington, Texas. He joined the US Navy and was a submariner. He also served on the Deputy Sheriff’s Department in Wayne County Ohio and Union County Indiana, at the Liberty Police Department and as Chief of Police in Whiteland, Indiana. Outside of law enforcement he worked for Indygo Transportation as a supervisor before retiring. After retiring he worked part time for Gold Shield Transportation.
He is survived by his wife Brenda of 34 years; daughter, April Phillips; and his three children, Betsy, Benjamin, and Bradly from his first marriage; brothers, Steve Phillips of Ohio, and Robert Phillips of Ohio.
Louis loved the Lord, and he will be greatly missed.
